Jazz Festivals

Dear Jazz Festival Director,

The Bob Crosby Orchestra and the Bob Crosby Bob Cats continue to provide musical enjoyment for jazz fans around the world, through a special arrangement with the Bob Crosby family made in 1995. After a renewal of the original agreement, the bands, both as a fourteen-piece big band as well as the popular eight-member Bob Cat ensemble are available for bookings in 2008, 2009 and beyond.

We are pleased that so many festivals included us during our early years of operation, including the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Festival in Davenport (IA), the Monterey Dixieland Festival (CA), the Jazz At Brevard Festival (NC), the Musicfest (Bethlehem, PA), the Celebration Of The Arts Festival (Delaware Water Gap, PA), the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee (CA), the New Jersey JazzFest, the San Juan Island Festival (WA), the Wildflower Festival (PA), the Madison Jazz Festival (WI), the Sun Valley Jazz Festival (ID), the Orange County Classic (CA), the Elkhart Jazz Festival (IN), the Connecticut Jazz Festival, and the High Mountain Festival (OR). In addition, our big band appears regularly on Caribbean jazz cruises and Mississippi River cruises where the Bob Cats have performed to sell out audiences on the Delta Queen, the American Queen and the Mississippi Queen.

Under the leadership of pianist/arranger Ed Metz, who performed with Mr. Crosby for many years, the bands have demonstrated that they have a high degree of marquee value. Their ability to draw large enthusiastic audiences results in their being invited to a large number of jazz events each year. Unlike many of the "ghost" bands operating around the country today, the Bob Crosby bands incorporate many musicians who appeared frequently with Mr. Crosby during the waning years of his career and who are enthusiastic about continuing the band’s distinctive style.

Should your festival be interested in having the Bob Crosby Bob Cats or the Bob Crosby Orchestra perform, CONTACT US. We are anxious to cooperate with you in making the necessary financial and logistical arrangements for this world famous musical attraction. We have abundant evidence that our presentation continues to have great appeal to loyal jazz fans everywhere, indicated by the long waiting lines at most of our venues. Please don't hesitate, as Jazz Societies and Fund Raising events that traditionally called for Bob Crosby are now scheduling the band. We’d hate to disappoint you by saying that we’re already booked. Thanks for your support and we hope to see you in the near future.
